Not arguing anymore

Older or wiser humans don’t argue anymore.

They’ve learned that most battles are not worth the energy or the noise.

They just smile vacantly, a practiced expression that hides both wisdom and weariness.

They pretend to listen, offering occasional nods, as if the words truly matter.

They pretend to care, not out of deceit, but out of a gentle mercy.

Then they walk away—quietly, but quickly—before the weight of it all sinks in.

And in their retreat, they keep their peace like a sacred flame, untouchable and intact.
