Not arguing anymore

Older or wiser humans don’t argue anymore.

They pretend to care, not out of deceit, but out of a gentle mercy.

Then they walk away quietly, but quickly before the weight of it all sinks in.

And in their retreat, they keep their peace like a sacred flame, untouchable and intact.
